Recurring Transactions
Recurring transactions let you automate entries that happen on a regular schedule, like rent, subscriptions, or salary.
Creating a Recurring Transaction
Section titled “Creating a Recurring Transaction”- Navigate to Recurring in the sidebar
- Click Add Recurring Transaction
- Set up the transaction details:
- Name — Description of the recurring entry
- Amount — The transaction amount
- Account — Which account to use
- Category — The spending category
- Frequency — How often it repeats (weekly, monthly, yearly, etc.)
- Start Date — When the recurrence begins
- Click Save
How It Works
Section titled “How It Works”Plutus automatically creates transactions based on your recurring schedules. A daily process checks for due recurring transactions and creates them in your account.
Managing Recurring Transactions
Section titled “Managing Recurring Transactions”You can edit, pause, or delete recurring transactions at any time:
- Edit — Change the amount, frequency, or other details
- Pause — Temporarily stop creating new entries
- Delete — Remove the recurring schedule (existing transactions are kept)
Viewing Upcoming Entries
Section titled “Viewing Upcoming Entries”The recurring transactions page shows both active schedules and upcoming entries, so you can see what’s coming next.
