Recurring Transactions

Recurring transactions let you automate entries that happen on a regular schedule, like rent, subscriptions, or salary.

  1. Navigate to Recurring in the sidebar
  2. Click Add Recurring Transaction
  3. Set up the transaction details:
    • Name — Description of the recurring entry
    • Amount — The transaction amount
    • Account — Which account to use
    • Category — The spending category
    • Frequency — How often it repeats (weekly, monthly, yearly, etc.)
    • Start Date — When the recurrence begins
  4. Click Save

Plutus automatically creates transactions based on your recurring schedules. A daily process checks for due recurring transactions and creates them in your account.

You can edit, pause, or delete recurring transactions at any time:

  • Edit — Change the amount, frequency, or other details
  • Pause — Temporarily stop creating new entries
  • Delete — Remove the recurring schedule (existing transactions are kept)

The recurring transactions page shows both active schedules and upcoming entries, so you can see what’s coming next.
