Quick Start
Welcome to Plutus Finance! This guide will walk you through setting up your account and getting started.
If you want more detail for any step, use the focused setup pages linked throughout this guide.
Create Your Account
Section titled “Create Your Account”- Visit plutusfinance.app and click Sign Up
- Enter your name, email, and password
- Check your inbox and click the verification link
Set Up Your Workspace
Section titled “Set Up Your Workspace”After verifying your email, you’ll be guided through onboarding:
- Enter a name for your Workspace (e.g., “The Smiths”)
- Your Workspace is a shared financial workspace where all accounts, transactions, and budgets live
- You can invite family members later from Settings

Add Your First Account
Section titled “Add Your First Account”There are two ways to add accounts:
Connect your bank (recommended)
Section titled “Connect your bank (recommended)”- Start the bank connection flow
- Choose your financial institution from the supported provider list
- Complete the secure authorization flow
- Select which accounts to link
- Transactions will sync automatically where supported
Add manually
Section titled “Add manually”- Navigate to Accounts in the sidebar
- Click Add Account
- Select the account group (Cash & Savings, Investment, Physical Asset, or Debt)
- Enter the account name and starting balance
- Click Save

Record or Import Transactions
Section titled “Record or Import Transactions”- Bank connections sync transactions automatically
- Manual entry — Navigate to Transactions and click Add Transaction
- CSV import — Go to Settings > Data > Import to upload a CSV file from your bank
