Filter, Search & Bulk Actions

The filter bar supports:

  • Date range — Filter by time period. The popover “Reset” button clears back to All dates.
  • Account — Show transactions from specific accounts
  • Category — Filter by spending category
  • Tags — Filter by one or more tags
  • Amount range — Filter by minimum or maximum amount
  • Search — Find transactions by payee name or notes

Your filter selections are remembered per user. The next time you open the transactions page, your last-used date range, accounts, categories, tags, amount range, and sort are restored automatically. Each user in a shared workspace keeps their own view.

Shared links still work as before — opening a /transactions?... URL with filter params overrides your saved view for that visit. Filters referencing accounts, categories, or tags that have since been deleted are silently dropped on restore.

A chart at the top of the transactions page shows spending trends over the selected period. Toggle chart visibility using the chart control. Chart bars render in vivid blue (#1d4aff).

Select one or more transactions using the checkboxes to reveal bulk actions:

  • Categorize — Assign a category to all selected transactions
  • Status — Set all selected to Pending or Cleared
  • Account — Move selected transactions to a different account
  • Tags — Add or remove tags from selected transactions
  • Notes — Set notes on all selected transactions
  • Make Recurring — Create a recurring transaction from a single selected transaction
  • Delete — Permanently delete selected transactions

For day-to-day maintenance, a simple pattern works well:

  1. Filter by recent dates or uncategorized items
  2. Search for a payee or merchant pattern
  3. Bulk-apply categories, tags, or statuses
  4. Mark reviewed once everything looks correct
