Add Your First Account

There are two ways to add your first account in Plutus.

If bank connections are available in your environment, this is usually the fastest option.

  1. Go to the account connection flow in the app
  2. Choose your financial institution from the supported provider list
  3. Complete the secure authorization flow
  4. Select which accounts to link
  5. Wait for the initial sync to complete

Connected accounts can import transactions automatically and keep balances up to date.

Manual accounts are useful for cash, assets, debt, or anything you do not want to sync automatically.

  1. Navigate to Accounts
  2. Click Add Account
  3. Select the account group and account type
  4. Enter the account name and starting balance
  5. Save the account

Plutus organizes accounts into four groups:

  • Cash & Savings
  • Investments
  • Physical Assets
  • Debt
