Set Budget Amounts

  1. Navigate to Budget
  2. Click on a cell to set the budgeted amount for a category
  3. Budgets auto-save as you type
  4. Navigate between months using the period controls
  • Copy from Last Month — Duplicate the previous month’s allocations to the current month
  • Clear Allocations — Clear all budget amounts for the current month to start fresh
  • Transfer Between Categories — Move budget allocation from one category to another within the same month

View a 6-month lookback of spending activity for each category. This helps you set realistic budget amounts based on past spending patterns.

The budget summary shows totals for the current month:

  • Total budgeted
  • Total spent
  • Total available
  • Ready to Assign

Toggle visibility of categories with no budget and no spending to keep your budget view focused.

  • Start by tracking your spending for a month before setting budgets
  • Use “Copy from Last Month” for consistent month-to-month budgets
  • Review and adjust your budgets monthly based on actual spending
