Import Your First Transactions
Once you have at least one account, the next step is to get transactions into Plutus.
Option 1: Automatic Bank Sync
Section titled “Option 1: Automatic Bank Sync”If your account is connected through a supported banking provider, transactions can sync automatically.
Typical synced data includes:
- Date
- Amount
- Payee or merchant information
- Account balance updates

Option 2: CSV Import
Section titled “Option 2: CSV Import”If you prefer manual import, or your institution is not connected, use CSV import.
- Go to the import flow in Settings
- Choose the destination account
- Upload your CSV file
- Map the file columns to Plutus fields
- Review the preview and complete the import

Option 3: Manual Entry
Section titled “Option 3: Manual Entry”You can also enter transactions one by one from the Transactions area.
Manual entry is useful for:
- Cash spending
- Adjustments
- Missing imports
- Backfilling a small number of historical transactions
