Transactions
Transactions are the core of your financial data in Plutus. Every inflow and outflow is recorded as a transaction.
Adding a Transaction
Section titled “Adding a Transaction”- Navigate to Transactions in the sidebar
- Click Add Transaction or use the keyboard shortcut
- Fill in the details:
- Date — When the transaction occurred
- Account — Which account it belongs to
- Amount — The transaction amount
- Payee — Who you paid or received money from
- Category — How to categorize the transaction
- Notes — Optional additional details
- Click Save
Editing Transactions
Section titled “Editing Transactions”Click on any transaction to open it for editing. You can modify any field and save your changes.
Filtering and Searching
Section titled “Filtering and Searching”Use the filter bar at the top of the transactions page to narrow down your view:
- Date range — Filter by time period
- Account — Show transactions from specific accounts
- Category — Filter by spending category
- Search — Find transactions by payee name or notes
Importing Transactions
Section titled “Importing Transactions”You can import transactions from your bank. See Import & Export for details on supported formats.
