Import & Export

Plutus supports importing transaction data from your bank and exporting your data for use in other tools.

Importing Transactions

Supported Formats

• CSV — Comma-separated values (most banks support this)
• OFX/QFX — Open Financial Exchange format

How to Import

1. Download a transaction file from your bank’s website
2. Navigate to Settings > Import
3. Select the target account
4. Upload your file
5. Map the columns to Plutus fields (date, amount, payee, etc.)
6. Review the preview and click Import

Import Tips

• Import regularly to keep your records up-to-date
• Plutus will attempt to detect and skip duplicate transactions
• Review imported transactions to ensure correct categorization

Exporting Data

Export your transaction data for backup or use in spreadsheets:

1. Navigate to Settings > Export
2. Select the date range and accounts
3. Choose the export format (CSV)
4. Click Export
